Leadership in the Digital Age takes readers on a journey of how to become a stronger, more inspiring, inclusive leader now at the beginning of the digital age.

There is a leadership crisis in the 21st century, on the job, in the home, and in business. Leadership skills are also lacking in other areas too; families and relationships are dysfunctional, caustic, and broken because of the lack of knowledge in knowing how to lead. Leadership development has been pegged as a $366 billion-dollar industry and the need for quality leadership training in the digital age is great. This industry is continually growing and expanding. Leadership in the Digital Age has a large part to play in this new arena.

The digital age presents new challenges. Technology allows immediate access to unlimited amounts of data, and connectivity between human beings and happens at an unprecedented speed. This is the age of inclusiveness, relaxed control, and adopting and implementing great ideas from the team. Many leadership books and training models that were successful in the 20th century are in decline and now out of touch. Most training and meetings today are conducted online; this is a new format not previously utilized on the scale it is now. Leadership in the Digital Age showcases that cultural change and management styles need to change for continued success.

Book Reviews

5.0 out of 5 stars Great insights as we prepare for the “new normal” - well worth it!

Excellent book. Genuine, practical, inspiring. Very timely too, as we emerge from covid with new challenges - and opportunities - in the digital age. This book offers important perspectives for life, work, family, relationships, team dynamics – and the new realities of leadership.

Informative, great breath, and written in clear, simple terms, the book is easy and fun to read. Felt like we were having a chat at the kitchen table. Numerous examples that put words to action. This book exudes leadership in content, approach and with a personal, results-oriented flavour to customise self-growth. We're all in this together!

The author clearly has a wealth of experience and shares this in effective ways. I learned a lot. Well worth the price and you’ll likely be inspired to seek out other titles from Robert Verbree.

Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great book filled with pearls of wisdom!

As I started to read the book my mind started racing reflecting on the things I could have done earlier in life dealing with my spouse and children. If I would have listened more or taken a different position, etc. I kept on reading and as the chapters unfolded the stories and accounts presented by the author really demonstrated the people side of all we do. Tough on the issues and kind on the people. Communication and the willingness to look and listen to others can go a long way in resolving both work and life issues.

The book is easy to read and keeps you interested in how the stories develop. A good read and a reminder that we can all do a little better in the way we interact. Leadership is about being interested, concerned and kind to the people in your life.

 Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars - Some Nuggets of Wisdom
Easy reading, interesting stories, captivating all around. It goes to show that small adjustments can lead to great results; the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

I really like the interviews, a different way of presenting the steps to take to become an effective leader. And not just a leader, it’s more than that, becoming a more complete person perhaps.

Next to read it will be my daughter. Recommended

From a complaint in my own living room, to a medical worker voicing her own experience of bullying in the workplace, a world traveler on Youtube, to Israel saying there are no leaders out the, Robert Verbree's book "Leadership in the Digital age" is a timely writing for our day.

If anyone should pull you over for ‘reckless leadership’, it is Robert Verbree. On the ambitious road to leadership excellence, we should all take advice from this police officer. Consider this book a warning ticket.

I am a retired medium sized business owner and an avid reader. This is the first book review I can ever remember making. I usually read 1 to 2 books per week. I picked up this book as I like to learn from people who “ have lived it”. In this book I got more than I expected. Clearly Robert has a wonderful and respected leadership style. Not to mention, good humor. I particularly liked his chapter on Vision as you can see he took some principles from the best and added in his twist based on his experience. My favorite chapter was “The Kitchen Sink”. If you want to learn leadership from a man who has lived it, buy this book. You will not be disappointed.
